Inaugural and Unprecedented – Curated Art Aisles
We’re encouraging aspirant artists, high school learners, undergrad students and budding talent to create and donate A5 art by having art curators choose art from donations received. Young talent can come to #1000D2020 on Friday 27 and Saturday 28March to see who has curated their art before it gets sold for R150 onSaturday 28 March at 17h00.
Art Aisle Sponsorship
The first-ever sponsor of an art aisle is the Henry George Gallery in Parkhurst. Gallery owner Darryl George Gray has been involved in 1000D from the beginning and he tells us why –
“Because 1000 Drawings makes art so accessible. We love the idea that a masterpiece can be picked up for just R150 on the night. We love the energy of it and the earnest enthusiasm with which the visitors seek out their favourite.”
Read the full interview with Darryl here.If you’re interested in sponsoring and creating an art aisle please contact us on info@1000drawings.co.za.
The Art Aisle Sponsors are helping take #1000D2020 into a different league of art altogether with bespoke art being hung in aisles by curators at the top of their game in the marketing and art industries. Other sponsors who don’t want to miss out on the exposure and experience are McCann 1886, Kameraz and Wunderman.
